Younger Children and Early Elementary
Day 11
READ: God to the rescue!: Moses and the Great Escape from Egypt, from Exodus 3-13, p. 84-91.
ACTIVITY: Burn a piece of paper in an old pot, metal or ceramic bowl, or in your fireplace (you could burn a small branch if you have a fireplace).
Watch how it burns up and becomes ashes. The Bible says the burning bush that God spoke to Moses from did not burn up! Why do you think that was? How would you feel if you saw something like that? What does this show us about God?
ORNAMENT IDEAS: If you have a Lego or playmobil toy tree, fish tank bush, etc. make flames to put on it. Flames could be orange and red ribbons or just color a picture of a burning bush.
This ornament reminds us of God’s call to Moses to help God free/rescue God’s people.
