Younger Children and Early Elementary
Day 15
READ: The teeny, weenie, true King: Samuel anoints David, from 1 Samuel 16, p. 116-121.
ACTIVITY: Trace the outline of your children’s bodies, use newspaper or brown shopping bags taped together, wrapping or butcher paper or an old sheet. Let the kids decorate their form and then cut it out.
Do you look like a big strong King? You do not have to be big for God to use you. God can use you if your heart is loving to God and loving to people. That makes you Kingly and Queenly.
ORNAMENT IDEAS: Hang a crown on the tree. Some fast food restaurants have them, party stores, or make your own.
This ornament reminds us that David was a King after God’s own heart.
Older Elementary

ORANAMENT: Make or use a crown. This ornament reminds us that David was a King after God’s own heart.
