Day 36
ACTIVITY: Use binoculars and look into the distance. See what far away objects you find or people you can see. Take turns. Our story today is about a Father who looked as far as he could for his lost son.
READ: Running away: The story of the lost son, from Luke 15, p.272-279.
ORNAMENT IDEA: a pig (picture, toy, make one out of clay, etc.) or binoculars.
This ornament reminds us that God looks for us no matter where we might go.
Older Elementary
Day 36
READ: p.600-604, “A Loving Father”.
ACTIVITY: Talk about or journal about things you have lost that are worth looking for. Why was it worth looking for them? If you will look for things, how much more will God look for lost people?
ORNAMENT: a pig. This ornament reminds us that God looks for us no matter where we might go.
