Young Children and Early Elementary
Day 37
READ: Washed with tears: A sinful woman anoints Jesus, from Mark 14, Luke 7, and John 12, p.280 -285.
ACTIVITY: Take some perfume, cologne, or sweet smelling oil. Talk about the bad things we want to ask God to forgive us for doing (older kids might like to write theirs). Touch the forehead of everyone with a dot of perfume. Pray and ask God to remove our sin. The sweet smell reminds us that we have been forgiven.
ORNAMENT IDEAS: Hang a bottle or vile of perfume on the tree.
This ornament reminds us that Jesus the True King forgives our sins.
Older Elementary
